I am a .NET software engineer from Capelle aan den IJssel, The Netherlands. I do both front- and backend development, but I get the most satisfaction from developing beautiful, user friendly and professional user interfaces. I graduated at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences with a Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology - Embedded Systems (BIT, or B ICT in Dutch). During my studies I discovered the power of the internet and that the internet was a perfect medium for combining my passion for (web)design and web development. That is why after my graduation I started working as software engineer and can now profit from almost 4,5 years of experiences in this field.
It all started with a course 'How to make a website in Dreamweaver'. Since then I am addicted to web development. Nowadays I do a lot more than just writing static HTML sites. With the help of the .NET framework, C#, SQL, HTML, CSS and jQuery I create complex web applications.
I create web and graphic designs since 2007. I've made all kinds of web and graphic designs - including logos, web sites, newsletters, banners, icons, businesscards and flyers. I developed my design skills and techniques in private study.
Besides web and graphic design, photography is one of my hobbies. Unfortunately I do not have the time to get the best out of my DSLR camera. Partly because I have an other time-consuming hobby: volleyball.
Dutch: mother tongue
English: Full professional proficiency
German: Limited working proficiency
I am highly motivated to improve my language skills.
